After wintering WAY south of the border, they first started showing up in early March in ones and twos along the eastern coasts and bays in Maryland.
By mid-March, they had moved north and west, and were back at Jug Bay along the Patuxent River, doing their annual courtship and nesting:
But 3 can be a crowd.
Ospreys are magical, more so because they leave us in the fall and return reliably each March. We look forward to seeing these sights all spring and summer long:
